Adverse weather conditions at UK airports

Due to the current adverse weather conditions in the South East, all BAA airports are experiencing disruption. Passengers are advised to contact their airlines before leaving for the airport.

At a glance:

Heathrow: Up until 8:15am, Heathrow had been operating with one runway but now both runways are closed (although we are hoping to reopen the Southern Runway again soon) - there are significant delays and over 250 cancellations

Gatwick: Currently open but significant delays and cancellations

Stansted: Runway was initially closed but opened at 7am - significant delays and cancellations

Southampton: closed - significant delays but hoping to open the runway mid-morning

Glasgow,Edinburgh and Aberdeen: Flights between Scotland and a number of airports in England are subject to delay or cancellation.

For more detailed positions at our airports, including airline contact numbers, please visit the relevant airport site.

With bus and rail services affected and difficult road conditions across the country, please take extra care and time if you do intend travelling to the airport
